2022 schedule

We made it. After a few years without Portland Cocktail Week In-Person programming, we are back! In the past, you would sign up for a rigid Major Track that kept you seated in a classroom for long stretches of time, which often was counter to the way our community likes to learn. We heard your feedback and adjusted our schedule to reflect the more dynamic learning opportunities we have available to us in the hospitality industry. You can still find ALL of the content from our Majors on our Distance Learning channels, but this year we are going to focus on experiences you can only have in person during PDXCW this year.

PDXCW in 2022
Learn about the all-new model for Portland Cocktail Week, rolling out in Fall 2022, from Founder Lindsey Johnson.

The past several years taught us many things, and one that stuck with us was that, more than ever, it’s essential for hospitality professionals to be well-rounded. We took that to heart as we continued PDXCW Distance Learning and planned the education program for PDXCW In-Person, 2022.

The education schedules this year will reflect more of a choose-your-own-journey approach. Where you used to get on major track to explore over a week, now students will have a customized schedule where they participate in more intimate, intense educational experiences. It’s a lot more content packed into a shorter amount of time. We hope this more well-rounded approach will help provide students with a more in-depth and varied education.

What is PDXCW?

Portland Cocktail Week is an educational program designed to help bartenders take the next step in their careers. To ensure Portland Cocktail Week offers the highest level and most diverse bar business class offerings, we invite experts to curate informative, engaging, and valuable classes that will best guide our students to the next phase of their careers. What began in 2012 as an in-person event has grown into virtual classes, spirit certifications, bartending competitions, and a thriving community of connected bar professionals.

Who can attend PDXCW?

Portland Cocktail Week is open to all people working in the hospitality industry, but student and bartender pass spots are reserved for working bartenders.

How do I attend PDXCW?

There are three passes to PDXCW: Student Pass, Bartender Pass, and Industry Pass. You can find details on all three below.
GET A BARTENDER PASS

STUDENT PASS

Want to attend classes and be part of educational tracks?

You will need to apply! Student applications closed on October 11, 2022.

By applying as a student for PDXCW, you can participate in educational tracks, attend classes and field trips, and attend all of the fantastic sponsored events (like those fun nighttime parties and activations). Student applicants who aren’t accepted into educational tracks are automatically registered for a Bartender Pass - that means you can still attend all the sponsored events. So, if you know you want to attend Portland Cocktail Week in some capacity, don’t wait to book travel!

BARTENDER PASS

Can't commit to the whole week? Sign up for a Bartender Pass!

You can attend sponsored events (like all those fun nighttime activations) without participating in an educational track. It is free for working bartenders, bar managers, bar owners, and consultants. Having a bartender pass also means you are first in line to “audit” (jump in on) classes or excursions that have open spots!

INDUSTRY PASS

Work in the beverage industry and would like to attend? Sign up for an industry pass. Coming soon on Eventbrite.

If you work in marketing, public relations, distributorship, or the supplier side of the industry, this pass is for you! Pay for this pass to attend sponsored events and network with the community.

WHEN DO EVENTS BEGIN AND END?

Events begin at 12 pm on Sunday, November 13th, and the last event ends at 11:59 pm on Thursday, November 17th.
Breakfast begins Monday and Wednesday around 9 am, and the last event each day typically begins around 9 pm.
